Wang Yi said that over the past year, with the strategic guidance of the two countries' leaders and the joint efforts of both sides, the China-Singapore all-round, high-quality, forward-looking partnership has maintained good momentum. The premiers of the two countries exchanged visits last year, the two countries jointly celebrated the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and cooperation in various fields has continued to reach new levels. China and Singapore differ in size, but both are factors of stability in the world. Faced with an international situation marked by intertwined changes and turbulence, China and Singapore both firmly uphold multilateralism, both adhere to free trade, and both advocate an international system with the United Nations at its core. The two countries should continue to strengthen strategic communication, enhance mutual trust, jointly respond to the global challenges that keep emerging at present, and safeguard the overall picture of regional peace and stability.

王毅表示，过去一年来，在两国领导人战略引领和双方共同努力下，中新全方位高质量的前瞻性伙伴关系保持良好势头。两国总理去年实现互访，两国共同庆祝建交35周年，各领域合作不断迈上新水平。中新大小不同，但都是世界的稳定因素。面对变乱交织的国际形势，中新都坚定维护多边主义，都坚持自由贸易，都倡导以联合国为核心的国际体系。两国应持续加强战略沟通，增进相互信任，共同应对当前层出不穷的全球挑战，维护好地区和平稳定大局。

Wang Yi said that China places high importance on developing China-Singapore relations and is willing to always leverage the strength of China-Singapore relations in keeping pace with the times, maintain the momentum of high-level exchanges, promote practical cooperation in various fields, strengthen people-to-people and cultural exchanges, and play a demonstrative and leading role in the region. Safeguarding the security of global industrial and supply chains and the smooth flow of maritime navigation is the shared aspiration of all countries in the world and serves the common interests of the international community, and China is ready to continue making efforts to this end. This year marks the fifth anniversary of the establishment of the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership. Singapore is an important member of ASEAN and will hold the ASEAN rotating chairmanship next year, and China hopes that Singapore will continue to play an active role in promoting China-ASEAN cooperation.

王毅表示，中国高度重视发展中新关系，愿始终发挥中新关系与时俱进的优势，保持高层交往势头，促进各领域务实合作，加强人文交流，在地区发挥示范引领作用。维护全球产业链供应链安全和海上航行畅通是世界各国共同愿望，符合国际社会共同利益，中方愿继续为此作出努力。今年是中国东盟建立全面战略伙伴关系5周年，新加坡是东盟重要成员，明年将担任东盟轮值主席国，中方期待新方为促进中国东盟合作继续发挥积极作用。

Balakrishnan said that today's world faces many factors of instability and uncertainty, but Singapore and China have always maintained a high degree of mutual trust and close cooperation, and bilateral relations have remained dynamic. Singapore highly values its relationship with China, and amid the current complex international situation, cooperation and exchanges between Singapore and China are of vital importance. Singapore abides by the one-China policy and firmly opposes "Taiwan independence"; this policy is long-standing and consistent, and will never change. Singapore will not do anything that contravenes or harms China's interests. Singapore highly commends China for achieving development and rejuvenation through reform and opening up and for contributing to safeguarding global supply chains and free trade, and believes that China has even greater development potential in the future. Singapore is willing to maintain close high-level exchanges with China, advance practical cooperation in such fields as trade and investment, artificial intelligence, renewable energy, education, science and technology, talent training, and people-to-people and cultural exchanges, develop key China-Singapore cooperation projects well, and promote regional connectivity.

维文说，当今世界面临诸多不稳定不确定性因素，但新中两国始终高度互信、密切合作，双边关系保持活力。新方高度珍视同中国关系，在当前复杂国际形势下，新中合作交流至关重要。新方恪守一个中国政策，坚定反对“台独”，这一政策是长期、一贯的，绝不会改变。新方不会做任何违背和损害中国利益的事情。新方高度评价中国通过改革开放实现发展振兴，为维护全球供应链和自由贸易作出贡献，相信中国未来还有更大发展潜力。新方愿同中方密切高层往来，推动贸易投资、人工智能、可再生能源、教育、科技、人才培训、人文交流等领域的务实合作，打造好中新重点合作项目，促进地区互联互通。

Balakrishnan said that keeping the Strait of Malacca continuously open is in the interest of all parties, and Singapore supports free passage through the Strait of Malacca and other international waterways. Singapore is willing to push for greater progress in the China-ASEAN comprehensive strategic partnership, supports the Global Development Initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping, supports multilateralism and free trade, and is willing to work hand in hand with China to uphold the multilateral trading system with the WTO at its core and jointly make efforts to promote world peace, development and prosperity.

维文说，马六甲海峡保持持续开放符合各方利益，新加坡支持马六甲海峡和其它国际航道自由通行。新方愿推动中国东盟全面战略伙伴关系取得更大进展，支持习近平主席提出的全球发展倡议，支持多边主义和自由贸易，愿同中方携手维护以世贸组织为核心的多边贸易体制，共同为促进世界和平发展繁荣作出努力。

The two sides also had an extensive exchange of views on international and regional issues of mutual concern.

双方还就共同关心的国际和地区问题广泛交换了意见。
