Entrusted by General Secretary Xi Jinping, Cai Qi, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, visited experts vacationing in Beidaihe on August 3. On behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, he extended sincere greetings to the large number of experts and talented professionals working across all fronts and fields nationwide.

受习近平总书记委托，中共中央政治局常委、中央书记处书记蔡奇3日在北戴河看望暑期休假专家，代表党中央、国务院向全国各条战线、各个领域的广大专家人才致以诚挚问候。

Cai Qi said that experts and talented professionals are a precious asset of the Party and the country. Since the 18th CPC National Congress, the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has placed talent work in an important position in the governance of the country, comprehensively strengthened the Party’s leadership over talent work, deeply implemented the strategy of developing a strong country through talent, and advanced the development of education, science and technology, and talent in an integrated manner, creating a vibrant situation in which talented people emerge in large numbers, everyone can realize their potential, and talent is put to its fullest use. General Secretary Xi Jinping has always cared deeply about experts and talented professionals and has encouraged them to pursue innovation with determination and scale new heights. On the new journey, comprehensively advancing the building of a strong country and the great cause of national rejuvenation through Chinese modernization provides a broad stage on which experts and talented professionals can pursue their work and careers. It is hoped that they will thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; fully implement the guiding principles of the 20th CPC National Congress and the second and third plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee; deeply understand the decisive significance of the “Two Establishes”; strengthen the “Four Consciousnesses,” firm up the “Four Confidences,” and uphold the “Two Safeguards”; vigorously carry forward the spirit of scientists; proactively shoulder the major responsibilities of the times; forge ahead and work hard; and make new and greater contributions to building a leading country in education, science and technology, and talent, and to advancing the cause of the Party and the country.

蔡奇指出，专家人才是党和国家的宝贵财富。党的十八大以来，以习近平同志为核心的党中央把人才工作摆在治国理政的重要位置，全面加强党对人才工作的领导，深入实施人才强国战略，一体推进教育科技人才事业发展，形成了人才辈出、人尽其才、才尽其用的生动局面。习近平总书记始终关心牵挂专家人才，激励广大专家人才锐意创新、勇攀高峰。新征程上，以中国式现代化全面推进强国建设、民族复兴伟业，为广大专家人才干事创业提供了广阔舞台。希望专家人才深入学习贯彻习近平新时代中国特色社会主义思想，全面贯彻落实党的二十大和二十届二中、三中全会精神，深刻领悟“两个确立”的决定性意义，增强“四个意识”、坚定“四个自信”、做到“两个维护”，大力弘扬科学家精神，主动肩负起时代重任，开拓进取、拼搏奋斗，为建设教育强国、科技强国、人才强国，推进党和国家事业发展作出新的更大贡献。

The invitation by the CPC Central Committee and the State Council for outstanding experts to vacation in Beidaihe is an important institutional arrangement in the Party and state’s talent work. The theme of this year’s vacation program is “Make Contributions in the New Era.” Participants include experts in high technology and philosophy and the social sciences, as well as young talent in basic research and other fields.

党中央、国务院邀请优秀专家代表到北戴河休假，是党和国家人才工作的一项重要制度性安排。今年休假活动的主题是“建功新时代”，参加休假活动的有高科技领域、哲学社会科学领域专家和基础研究领域青年人才等。

Shi Taifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the CPC Central Committee’s Organization Department, and State Councilor Shen Yiqin also participated in the visit.
